Sweet iced coffee that is sweetened with brown sugar and topped with sea salt whipped cream.
Since the weather has been getting warmer we find ourselves drinking iced coffee in the mornings these days. This recipe is really easy and only takes a few ingredients.
How to make the coffee
The first thing that you are going to do is on the bottom of a measuring cup add in the brown sugar. Pour hot coffee over the brown sugar and stir until the sugar has dissolved. All that to come to room temperature or to chill in the refrigerator.
Other sweetener options:
If you aren’t a fan of brown sugar in your coffee or you just simply ran out of brown sugar here are a few other options to sweeten you coffee with:
What is sea salt cream?
Sea salt cream is just whipped cream that is mixed with a little bit of sea salt. This adds the perfect balance to your sweetened iced coffee.
While the coffee is cooling it is time to make the sea salt cream. This part is simple. Add in the heavy cream, sea salt, and sugar. Using an electric stand mixer or a hand mixer whip everything together until soft peaks form.
Pour the cooled coffee over some ice and top with the whipped cream. Sprinkle a little cocoa powder.
And you are done. Wasn’t that quick?
Can I make this the night before?
Yes and no. You can brew the coffee the night before and allow it to chill in the refrigerator overnight. As far as the cream goes it tastes better when it is fresh.
