We have definitely been feeling the heat here in Texas. It has been in the high 90’s which is not our favorite kind of weather but it’s a perfect excuse to make some popsicles. For today’s recipe, we are making Raspberry Peach Popsicles. These popsicles are the perfect way to beat the heat and the best part is there is no extra sugar.
These popsicles are made with 100 percent natural sugar from the fruit. Fruit popsicles are one of the easiest popsicles you will ever make. They are fun to make because you can get creative with the flavors and the look of your popsicles.
When we were kids we would make popsicles when we would stay at our grandma’s house, but they were never like this. Does anyone remember the ice pops recipe from “Dexter’s Laboratory” the fruity, juicy popsicletts (if you’re a 90’s kid like us you will know what we are talking about.) Basically, it was kool-aid that you poured it into an ice tray and freeze. As a kid that was easy. Lately, we’ve been seeing popsicles on Pinterest and they looked like so much fun to make so we decided to buy a popsicle mold. For our first popsicle recipe, we decided to make raspberry peach flavor popsicles.
Let’s get started making some popsicles. The first thing we are going to need is a popsicle mold and some popsicle sticks. We got the Norpro Popsicle Maker. What is great about this mold is that it came with the sticks and it’s really easy to clean. This isn’t sponsored we just really like this popsicle mold. If you don’t have access to a mold you can use paper cups and you will need some popsicle sticks. The next thing we are going to need is a food processor or a hand blender and two separate bowls.
Now, that we have all our supplies these next steps are going to be easy. The first thing to do is to puree raspberries in one bowl and puree the peaches in another bowl. Pour both puree mixtures into the popsicle mold. Freeze for 1 hour and then insert the popsicle sticks. Place back into the freezer for 8 hours or preferably overnight.
That’s it! You now have fresh, healthy and fruity popsicles. We hope you enjoy this recipe.
